Hi Guys! So it’s that time of year again where our wardrobes are blessed by the ever so popular Vintage Kilo sale. As a vintage style enthusiast I just had to see for myself what all the fuss was about so I took a trip to the custard factory to mooch around the second hand pieces ranging from the late 60’s to the 90’s.Unsurprisingly it was packed full of eager teens as well as the older generation all waiting to get their hands on designer goodies such as Levi’s, Ralph Lauren and Wrangler to name a few. At just £3 for early bird entry (and £1.50 general entry ) it is the perfect opportunity to treat yourself without breaking your bank!!

Upon arrival you are given a purple kilo sale bag which you can fill up as much or as little as you like and just as it says on the tin you are charged a meagre £15 per kg ( approximately a bag of sugar). Whether you’re into oversized university motif sweaters or a 90’s baby still in love with your plaid shirts, kilo sale have you covered. As well as rails they also have boxes full of loose items which I spent ages rummaging through to find some treasures.

In the end I settled with a men’s oversized navy shirt which cost me £6, what a steal! I would definitely recommend coming and going throughout the day, especially as it can get extremely busy as well as new stock being frequently added.

Just as a little disclaimer don’t feel down if there isn’t anything clothing wise that takes your fancy they also have plenty of bespoke jewellery pieces, perfect to jazz up any plain outfit!

After saying farewell to the kilo sale, me and a few friends headed round the indie capital of Digbeth to grab some shots of the creative quarter. I decided to wear a mono casual outfit to the kilo sale complete with a groovy pair of sunnies (despite the lack of sunshine). Add an oversized denim jacket to keep you warm and you’ve got an urban yet classic look.

Tinted aviators: Urban Outfitters – £14

Oversized clean denim jacket: Topshop – £40
